Missionary Profile:
Eric and Jodee began ministering among the Isaan/Korat people group in 2014. They have been engaged in church planting through creative platforms, building bridges to relationship that lead to Gospel encounters. Their ministry focuses on reaching the Isaan/Korat people group and Shan Burmese factory workers in the city of Korat with the Gospel. Additionally, they disciple the Filipino OFW diaspora, guiding them to become obedient disciples of the Lord Jesus so they can serve as witnesses among the Isaan people.
They are also actively involved in children’s ministry, using creative stage performances, puppetry, mime, and other artistic methods to invest in the lives of Isaan children and engage their families with the Gospel.
Before their work among the Isaan people, Eric and Jodee were involved in church planting among the Shan and Akha tribal people of Mae Sai, Chiang Rai, in the northernmost part of Thailand. They also pioneered the 180 Degrees Student Center in Mahasarakham, Thailand, reaching approximately 60,000 Isaan university students.
Originally from Sorsogon City, Eric and Jodee have two children: Erika Joie O. Obado, 25, and Eric James O. Obado, 18.
