Al has been a full-fledged missionary of NTMPI since 1995. He is an alumnus of Febias College of Bible. After pastoring a local church in Parañaque City for three years, he entered the missionary training of NTMPI for cross-cultural ministry. After completing his missionary training at New Tribes School of Mission in 1994, he served for six years as a church planter among the Central Subanen of Zamboanga del Norte, in Mindanao. He then went on study leave and completed his undergraduate studies at Silliman University in 2005. He was then elected to serve as Church Planting Director for four years. In 2012, he went to Nepal as an overseas missionary for two and a half years. He underwent a coronary bypass operation in 2015 at the Philippine Heart Center and was not able to go back to Nepal. For eight years now, he has been serving as NTMPI Overseas Missions Director.
