Harvest still plentiful, workers still few

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Matt. 9:37

Jesus said these words more than 2,000 years ago. Yet this still rings true in our generation today.

The Gospel message has already reached us but millions and millions of people all over the world still have not heard about the saving work of Christ Jesus.

Here in the Philippines, though saturated with many professing Christians and Evangelical churches, there are still a lot of indigenous people to reach with the Gospel. Those who are in far and remote areas where it is difficult to access.

And so, for us, even a single individual disciple of Christ willing to join us is a big step for the progress of the Great Commission here in the Philippines and beyond.

“The Gospel message has already reached us but millions and millions of people all over the world still have not heard about the saving work of Christ Jesus.”

This year, we praise God for 8 young people and 2 adults that made a step of faith towards obedience to the Great Commission of Christ. They came from different parts of the Philippines namely from Nueva Vizcaya, Valenzuela City, Puerto Princesa Palawan, Coron Palawan, and from Agusan Del Sur, Mindanao.

They started their 2-year missionary training journey last August 2021. They are now nearing the end of their phase 1 training where they are learning major bible doctrines, deepening their character foundation, learning the Building on Firm Foundation Teaching Method, and other principles that they need in teaching the gospel to the indigenous peoples who have less to zero knowledge of Scripture.

We still need more workers for the harvest of souls. Join us in prayer that Jesus told us to pray – ask the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers. Support a missionary student or anyone you know that wants to go for the sake of the gospel of Christ. Or maybe, God is calling you to go. It’s always the best thing to obey the Lord.
